Installing Buru SFTP server

  • Unzip downloaded package.
  • Open command line.
  • Run buru install.

All actions performed by the 'installer' can be scripted - see command line documentation for server and web admin.

Note that the install command does not copy the application anywhere else.


Manual setup - unzip & run

SSH/SFTP Server

  • create configuration file config/config.yaml. You can use config/config-default.yaml as a starting point.
  • create SSH keys - buru keygen --all
  • add user - buru user add myuser --password mypassword --rootdir c:\data
  • start the SSH server - buru run
  • connect via sftp to localhost:22

Web admin

  • buru user add webadmin --password webadminpassword --webadmin
  • buruwa run
  • goto http://localhost:8880

Upgrading

If you are upgrading from the older version see upgrading.

Uninstallation

If you haven't registered the application as Windows Service, simply delete the folder you extracted the package to.

Otherwise run buru.exe uninstall.
