How to migrate to a new machine
To migrate Buru SFTP Server to a new machine:
- Install Buru SFTP Server on the new machine, but do not start the services.
- Copy the configuration files from the old machine to the new one, replacing the default configuration. See Configuration Model for the location of the configuration directory.
Do not copy SSH private keys unless the new machine is a direct replacement for the old one or part of a load-balanced cluster. For a new machine, generate fresh keys using
burusftp keygen. - Start the services on the new machine.
When migrating to a new server, you are allowed to temporarily exceed the number of purchased licenses for a period strictly necessary to perform the migration.
